Taken on day five of our Transalp. The fact that this panorama was shot on a summer midday emphasizes the moody atmosphere. The air was filled with this tension before the storm and I was starting to fear we would not get away dry. Luckily, or maybe thanks to us speeding down hill, we escaped the rain. The location is the trail down from the Jochgrimm (passo Oclini) to Radein (Redano).
This concludes our Transalp series. Though we had one more day to go, neither the weather nor the landscape did invite much shooting. We reached Trento and stayed a few days before returning to Stuttgart by train.
Looking back the Transalp was probably our most memorable undertaking of 2007. We hope to do it again some day :)
