When I saw these flowers today I could not resist kidnapping them from their bush and use them to lighten up our home. Does someone know what kind of flower this is?
Sebastian and I like the various contrasting aspects of this scene and its simplicity. It's been a while since we last posted a still life... Oh, and except for RAW development this shot is unprocessed :)
Beautiful lighting in this. The DOF sets a nice mood. Heath @ 2006-November-2 21:31
Those look like a variation of black-eyed-susans (rudabecka I think is the proper name, but don't quote me). steph @ 2006-November-2 22:33
I love the simplicity and the depth of field. This is a wonderful photo. I'm fairly sure that these are Black-Eyed Susans as well. Gabriel Loeb @ 2006-November-3 05:11
I really like the simple setup and the dark background which really highlights the yellow flowers. Nice capture Thomas Solberg / Project neXus @ 2006-November-3 08:08
great texture...the heads look almost like velvet. Aaron @ 2006-November-3 20:45

It's good to see you back Ella, Sebastian!
Just looking back through your last few posts I was reading how uninspired you are at the moment. I'm sorry to hear that. Perhaps inspiration is coming more now I'm not sure?
Might suggest a remedy???.
Take what you consider to be the best of your worst and post them! We (photographers) are all in some way our own worse enemy but, sometimes it's better to have your enemies closer than further from you....
It allows for a better understand of what we think or thought were our enemies (lack of inspiration in this context).
If we come to understand from others, what we can't find ourselves in looking, isn't that an inspiration?
I say post what you think are the best of your worst and see if your initial thinking is right! If not then perhaps you are in fact as you said somewhere previously ..."Too hard on yourselves". Whatever you do Ella and Sebastian I wish the best in doing it and leave you both with a thought???.???To all ends there is a beginning???
Let us be your inspiration and new beginning. Show us your worse so that we can appreciate more your best! Perhaps you both to???. can do the same?
Good to see you back and posting anyway! ndiginiz @ 2006-November-4 09:24
I love the sheer simplicity of this and the limited colors. According to their bio, they have a vase-life of up to 10 days so, way to go! AG @ 2006-November-4 12:34
Great one! My picture of the day! Mac [vg] @ 2007-August-12 23:32
Love the yellow, the shape of the vase also adds a nice touch. DedicatedRR @ 2007-December-18 21:52
