I???ve had big trouble photographing such grasses as these. Your ???technical??? solution is something I didn???t try and it works well in compensating for the nebulous and moving nature of the heads. Myself, I kept returning for a re-shoot but, in the end, they put me out of agony by cutting the stuff down . . lol . AG @ 2006-April-13 18:18
We also weren't satisfied with the single shots we took, and were about to leave it. But then we had the idea of combining three similar images, which ended up giving more volume and this slightly dreamy quality to the scene.
We're now entering a phase where it is quite challenging to satisfy the wish of making each picture unique and new in some way and at the same time proceed with a certain routine. That's probably what creative professionals are constantly confronted with... It is very rewarding though when it works out. sknop @ 2006-April-13 19:13
I really like this shot here; it's one of my favorites from you. The DOF is great and the sharp elements are in the perfect place. I like a lot the multiple layers and the contrast of colors. The blue lake in the background reminds me of the sky, and the combination with the bright golden grass is very evocative of summer. Massimo @ 2006-April-20 02:22
