Sebastian: Today is my grandfather's birthday. For this reason I dedicate this picture to him (unfortunately I don't have a great portrait shot - except maybe this one). Without the time he spent with me in my childhood I probably wouldn't be taking pictures now. He has been a dedicated photographer in his free time for decades, using classical equipment like a Leica, a Hasselblad, Canons, slide projectors and other 'heavy' gear. How could I have possibly escaped such influences?
Here's to you, Joachim. Cheers!
I love the title and the concept behind these photos, and most touching were your words. Happy Birthday to your grandfather! micki @ 2006-March-29 00:40
The subtle tones in this composition are wonderful. Joanna @ 2006-March-29 03:00
Happy birthday to your grandfather. A great series and I really love the footprint. BTW I work about 100 meters from Hasselblad headoffice, the founder stay as a staty in my town. eterisk @ 2006-March-29 08:31

Thank you for your kind words ! I am comoved by the consideration you gave me ! Maybe my modest efforts gave you the direction to serious photography, but I see: As in some cases the pupil beats the teacher by far ! Congratulation ! Opa @ 2006-April-19 13:30
