Consistent with the offical beginning of spring, it finally stopped snowing and raining. The first courageous people even begin to hang their clothes out to dry (although it is still not much more than above 5 degrees outside).
We'd like to thank everyone who commented in the last few days, it's much appreciated. We're quite overwhelmed with the positive response.

Oh! I can just feel Spring arriving in this image. The overall color and texture is splendid. Makes me want to sip some fresh morning coffee and stroll around the neighborhood. Dennis Rogers @ 2006-March-21 15:25
I really love the warm tones, textures, and shadows in this photo! Despite also being cold here in NY, it's great to start seeing tell-tale signs that spring, and with it warmer weather, is right around the corner. Excellent capture! matthew @ 2006-March-21 19:50
absolutely freezing still in my part of canada. i can't wait for it to warm up a bit so that treking out to take photos is as simple as throwing on a pair of shoes and grabbing the camera.
this photo is lovely. the mood and composition are very well suited to each other and i like that the wall isn't oversharpened.
as a side note. i think it's cool that you two share a blog. i'm not sure why but a part of me would like to know who takes which photo. maybe consider tagging each image with a category for sebastian and a category for ella? schmee @ 2006-March-21 22:44
Great restricted palette Jeannie @ 2006-March-21 23:21
Great choice of toning which gives this shot a very warm feel. Bella @ 2006-March-22 03:26
Thank you for your thoughtful comments.
I'm glad you liked the tone, creating gradient maps is my newest pasttime ;)
@ schmee: I commented a bit on our 'division of work' on the next picture... There is collaboration on at least one stage of the making of a picture, so that individual categories would feel somewhat forced. sknop @ 2006-March-22 11:01
i love that one! I can feel the warming sun on my skin when looking at this shot ! moufmouf @ 2006-March-22 12:14
This shot is heralding the start of spring. so exciting:) jj @ 2006-March-22 14:10
nice tone, i especially like the shadow of the clothes and détails like the worn corner of the house or the rusted gutter. Here in Canada, where i'm living for 3 years, it is the longest winter that i saw ... it is spring since 2 days and again snow this morning ... erf ... Julien @ 2006-March-23 07:24
