We could not resist to watch Germany play against Argentina in HDTV at Sebastian's University. As you can see the auditorium was packed. The picture shows the moment when the game was over after the German keeper had saved his second penalty.
After the game mass hysteria took over and people drove around blowing their horns, while others danced on the streets hugging everyone they could get their hands on. We had never seen anything like it before and we will post a picture from the celebrations in our neighbourhood tomorrow.
I like the silhouettes. :-) tetsu @ 2006-July-3 01:51
I like this point of view! Michael @ 2006-July-3 09:33
Refreshingly different and kinda personal view of this moment of fever . . more to come, I???m sure. AG @ 2006-July-3 10:20
Sehr schöne Farbgebung. Gefällt mir obwohl ich kein Fu??balfan bin ;-) Homajon @ 2006-July-3 15:13
great pic! - love the toning and the highlights on everyone's arms. In 2002, I experienced the same sort of electricity after the gold medal ice hockey game - it's great when it stays fun. chris @ 2006-July-3 17:27
Nice pic! still the the world cup and you have HDTV in the bars! we barely have it full stop!
Good luck JD @ 2006-July-3 21:13
Auf den ersten Blick sieht´s aus ak´ls wär´s im Stadion. Ich finde die Schatten der Hände und Arme toll, sieht aus wie ein Scheerenschnitt. Karl Baumann @ 2006-July-3 21:33
It almost looks like an old photo of people at a movie theatre, maybe even a silent film. Not too dissimilar actually, as soccer (or, eh, football) seems to draw universal audiences the same way Chaplin did. Brandon @ 2006-July-3 22:02
Really like this.. The silhouettes look awesome. Ian @ 2006-July-6 12:28
Great composition and processing. It works really well in those tones. Jesper @ 2006-July-7 13:12
this is absolutely electric.
i wish i could have been in europe for the games! nam @ 2006-July-8 00:28
@JD: Very few bars have HDTV around here. This was taken at my university which subscribed to a HD channel just for the cup... Sebastian @ 2006-July-8 11:32
