Construction pipes are forever 2006-05-2919 Comments
Ok, I know that is a corny referece to the movie scene with a famous agent where he is trapped in an oil pipe ;). This construction site is right in front of our house, so instead of being annoyed by it, we decided to use it for creative purposes for a change ;-).
The last few days have been hectic around here, so I didn't manage to answer questions by email. I tried to reply to you in the comments though.
EDIT: Lack of time, inspiration and good wheather made us run out of pics we consider worth posting, i.e. images representative of the direction we would like to take our photography. So don't expect regular updates in the next few days.
Thank you for all your support so far!
Frank @ 2006-May-29 09:47
Interesting industrial feel to this one. Nice one. garyx @ 2006-May-29 09:49
cool light and contrast. love it! Kris @ 2006-May-29 11:34
Interesting shoot. Me encata los reflejos. Manuel @ 2006-May-29 12:54
Makes a great abstract. When I was looking at the thumbnail, i thought it was the eye of someone's face. ;) Love the play of light on the inside of the pipe. chris @ 2006-May-29 17:26
das beste aus den gegebenheiten machen, sag ich ja auch immer;). auch mit einer baustelle vor der tuer - gut gemacht! xlt @ 2006-May-29 18:29
Enjoyed having to study this one to figure it and, like Chris (above), I thought it was an eye, initially, or, as Frank says, there is a touch of a canon barrel here. Also, interesting what Chris says about thumbnails in a broader sense : a thumbnail can give a totally different feel for a pic. AG @ 2006-May-29 20:10
I love the play of the light. Great shot! Michael @ 2006-May-29 20:22
Nice use of a temporary annoyance for a photographic experience. david @ 2006-May-29 21:26
this is very interesting ? sìkò @ 2006-May-30 10:20
Nice framing and perspective. I wish the focus was perfectly on the pipe opening, ah, but who cares? Do take some time off to rest. A picture a day of your quality can be a very daunting task. Cheers, Brent Brent Vermilyea @ 2006-May-30 12:23
Ah I hate when they put them up right in front of the house and start working early on a Saturday morning... :P It's an interesting angle to shoot from though Minna @ 2006-May-30 15:29
I love the frame within a frame thing going on here, great B/W tones as well. Justin Gaynor @ 2006-May-30 16:31
Interesting perspective. I had to stop and think about what I was looking at. Jazmin @ 2006-May-30 17:07
nice experimental image, i love the light hitting the center right there. shane j montgomery @ 2006-May-31 01:33
